Is this real money?

No. Everything in Munzy is virtual. There's no connection to a bank account or real money. You decide on and hand over any payout yourselves — in cash, hand to hand.

How does interest work?

In the parent area, you can set a savings interest rate per child — weekly or monthly. Munzy automatically credits the interest to the balance once a week or month has passed. This makes compound interest visible for kids.

What's the parent area for?

The parent area is protected with a PIN. There you create tasks, confirm completed ones, set interest and allowance, and issue payouts.

Do I need an account?

No. Munzy doesn't need a sign-up or an account. All data stays on your device. More on that in the privacy policy.

What does Munzy cost?

Munzy is free to use. An optional Premium upgrade unlocks features for the whole family — like multiple kids, savings interest, and multiple savings goals.

How is my data synced between devices?

Through your private iCloud. Sign in on your family's devices with the same Apple ID, and tasks, balances, and savings goals automatically appear everywhere. You don't need an account or a password. Without iCloud, everything stays on the device only.

I bought Premium — how do I restore it?

Open the parent area → Premium and tap “Restore Purchases.” After a reinstall or on a new device, this brings your Premium access back.

How do I change the app's language?

Open iOS Settings → Munzy → Language and choose your language. Munzy is available in English and German, and starts in your device's language.

How do I delete my data?

Your data is entirely in your hands: delete a profile in the app, delete the app, or remove Munzy's data from iCloud (Settings → [your name] → iCloud). Since we never keep a copy, that removes everything.

What devices does Munzy run on?

Munzy runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
